    About

    Dr. Ariel E. Vera received his MD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. During his medical school years, he was awarded the Distinguished Medical Student in Emergency Medicine Award and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency training from the University of Puerto Rico Emergency Medicine Residency Program where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Outstanding Lecturer Award. 

    After developing a passion for the care and management of children, Dr. Vera completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship from Morristown Medical Center in Morristown New Jersey. He has published pediatric chapters for Critical Care Emergency Medicine and the First Aid for the Pediatrics Clerkship. His other areas of interest include toxicology and medical education.
