Chad Martins, MD

In caring for adult patients, Dr. Chad Martins follows the principles of shared decision making. He helps patients navigate toward better health by giving them resources and information that enable them to make the best decisions for themselves. A native of Ohio, Dr. Martins says his father, who was also a physician, taught him the health benefits of lifelong relationships between doctors and their patients. In his current practice, he sees patients and teaches resident physicians who are training to become internal medicine doctors.

Dr. Martins is certified in HIV medicine through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He says it gives him confidence in providing primary care for patients affected by HIV. He has a passion for LGBT health and lifestyle management.

An avid runner, Dr. Martins is trying to adapt to Savannah's heat and humidity. He likes to read and learn about different cultures. He and his husband, along with their daughter, relocated from Washington, DC.
