Dr. Christopher Rogers is the medical director of child and adolescent services at The Medical Center of Aurora. He is the current president of the Colorado Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Society and sits on the Advocacy Committee for the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Rogers attended medical school as well as adult psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. His passions are teaching, psychotherapy and advocating for the needs of the families he serves. He is active in following the available research around cannabis use and recently helped update the AACAP Facts for Families on adolescents and marijuana.
Dr. Rogers enjoys the challenges presented by helping to build a new psychiatry residency program and the opportunities to learn from resident physicians. When he is not working too much he is typically playing too hard either climbing up a cliff or biking down a mountain. He has 3 wonderful kids who often remind him how it’s hard to have a dad who always wants to have a “big talk.”
