Gregory Guldner, MD, MS, FACEP

    Dr. Gregory Guldner serves as chief wellness and retention officer for HCA Healthcare's Clinical Service Group (CSG) and supports HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Guldner served as vice president of academic affairs for HCA Healthcare GME since July, 2022. In that role, he promoted workplace well-being of HCA's 5,800 residents nationwide. He is a nationally recognized speaker and researcher on clinician well-being and has partnered with the AMA and ACGME, among other organizations, to advance our understanding of workplace well-being among healthcare providers. Previously, Dr. Guldner led 10 residency programs at Riverside Community Hospital as designated institutional official and served as the founding program director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, which earned the National Well-Being Award from the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2022.

    Dr. Guldner holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Purdue University and an MD from Stanford University, completed his emergency medicine training at Loma Linda University, and practiced for 25 years in both academic and community hospitals. Additionally, he served 28 years in the Army Medical Corps (reserves) with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
