    Dr. Kaysie L. Banton is the Trauma Services Medical Director at Swedish Medical Center. She began her role as both a trauma surgeon and medical director at Swedish in March, 2018. Dr. Banton completed her medical degree at the University of New Mexico. She went on to complete her residency in general surgery at the University of Minnesota. She furthered her training with a fellowship in surgical infectious disease and a fellowship in surgical critical care at the University of Minnesota. She was the Acute Care Surgery Services Director at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, before joining Swedish. She has many publications and presentations in her experience, as well as teaching and curriculum development expertise.
