    Melissa Mendez, MD, FACOG is a born Californian, who completed medical school at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine in 2003. She was then accepted into the Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Phoenix, AZ where she was named Chief Resident in 2006 and graduated residency in 2007. She then joined St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center as a faculty physician and instructor. Dr. Mendez became board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG) in 2009 and relocated to El Paso, TX in 2010. Dr. Mendez joined the teaching faculty for Texas Tech University and was then named the Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program until May of 2018. Dr. Mendez also served as the Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare. She is passionate about providing a full range of Women's Health Services to all ages and is also board certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Dr. Mendez enjoys running, giving back to the community and spending time with her family.
