Peter Montesano, MD, MPH

Dr. Peter V. Montesano joined Grand Strand Medical Center as a hospitalist in 2019 and became a faculty member in 2020. He graduated from St. George's University where he earned both his Medical Degree and Masters in Public Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in his home state at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Montesano focuses on providing high-quality patient care while precepting and teaching residents on the inpatient service. He has a particular interest in point of care ultrasound and leads weekly bedside ultrasound teaching rounds. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Montesano enjoys running, golfing, boating, fishing, water skiing, and beach days.
