    Dr. Rami Akel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. A graduate of the University Of Jordan School Of Medicine, Dr. Akel completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Indiana University and his Fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Methodist DeBakey Vascular Institute and The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

    Dr. Akel's areas of interest include coronary peripheral angiography and intervention, carotid stenting and percutaneous abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Other areas of expertise include percutaneous treatment of structural heart disease as well as diagnosis and treatment of venous disease.
