Dr. Sundeep Viswanathan prides himself on compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based cardiac care. He strives to treat each patient like a family member. He was born in New York and moved to Denver in 2015. He received his training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Washington University at St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is board certified in cardiology, internal medicine, and specializes in advanced imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and vascular ultrasound. Dr. Viswanathan was both a resident and hospitalist at Washington University at St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital, He then relocated to Los Angeles to complete his cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a large volume tertiary hospital ranked in the top three nationally for cardiac care. Here, he had exposure to advanced heart failure, minimally invasive structural procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman. He also has a strong interest in preventative cardiology and has helped to start the calcium scanning program at The Medical Center of Aurora. He has published numerous book chapters as well as papers and abstracts. In his free time Dr. Viswanathan enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and two young children, Avi and Isla, and their husky Denali. He also enjoys golf, gardening, skiing, and running.
