N1 - Objectives To examine pregnancy-related deaths (PRDs) in Florida, to identify quality improvement (QI) opportunities, and to recommend strategies aimed at reducing maternal mortality. Methods The Florida Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review (PAMR) Committee reviewed PRDs occurring between 1999 and 2012. The PAMR Committee determined causes of PRDs, identified contributing factors, and generated recommendations for prevention and quality improvement.
